What is the difference between facilitation and training?
Training delivers a programme which is often highly structured and procedural in its approach, at any given time the trainer and the group will be able to pinpoint exactly where they are in the programme schedule.
Facilitation on the other hand has a structure with defined outcomes and results. However the needs of the group and the areas of learning which arise from discussion and enquiry, will determine the flow of the programme. Individuals take responsibility for making sure their learning needs are being met. This creates a unique learning journey.
