Its actually not necessary to pull the dishwasher out and tilt it. Having read about the impeller jug online, we disconnected the appliance removed the left hand side panel, unplugged and removed the impeller jug, blew it through (like a kazoo) then reconnected it. Hi I've just had the same problem with my Bosch, it was the large plastic nut on the salt refill compartment. To force the pump to work holding the start button in forces it to start. Disconnected, pulled out and tipped backwards - no water came out but problem cured!! Put query into Google, came up with this site, pulled machine out and tilted it backwards and forwards a few times, mopped up a bit of water and we're back in business! I reset the machine cycle and switched it off before tipping, then ran a normal cycle and it went straight through without a hitch (or a check water light). When it's finished the cycle I will empty and see if I can identify the leak. I didn't think that this would work but you gotta have a go. Your Bosch dishwasher can run a test cycle that will quickly go through each stage of a wash program in order to find out at what point a fault is occurring.
